What is a proportional pressure reducing valve?
A proportional pressure reducing valve is a pressure reducing valve where the ratio of the inlet pressure to the outlet pressure is a fixed value.
The pressure reduction ratio is the ratio of the inlet pressure to the outlet pressure of the proportional pressure reducing valve in a static state.
Working principle: The proportional pressure reducing valve adopts a piston structure, and the piston is the valve core. The inlet medium pressure pushes the valve core to open, and the medium flows to the outlet through the inner hole of the valve core. The pressure after the valve begins to rise.
The pressure of the medium acts on the circular end faces on both sides of the valve core. Due to the different piston end face areas on both the inlet and outlet sides. The area of the inlet end is small, and the area of the outlet end is large. If the valve core maintains a force balance state, the pressures on both sides of the valve core must be different. And it is inversely proportional to the size of the end face area. When the pressure after the valve rises to the pressure reduction ratio, the force on the valve core is balanced, the valve core maintains a certain opening degree, and the pressure reducing valve is in a normal working state. When the inlet pressure rises, the inlet pressure pushes the valve core to move towards the outlet end. The opening degree of the valve core increases, and the outlet pressure rises. With the rise of the pressure at the outlet end, the pressure at the outlet end pushes the valve core to move towards the inlet end, reaching a new equilibrium state and maintaining the pressure reduction ratio unchanged. Similarly, when the inlet pressure drops or the flow rate at the outlet changes, the pressure reduction ratio will still remain unchanged.
