The differences between vacuum solenoid valves and ordinary solenoid valves
The vacuum solenoid valve is a special valve installed on mechanical vacuum pumps.
The valve is connected to the same power supply as the pump. The opening and stopping of the pump directly control the opening and closing of the valve. When the pump stops working or the power supply is suddenly interrupted, the valve can automatically seal the vacuum system and fill the pump chamber with the atmosphere through the pump's intake port to prevent the pump oil from flowing back and contaminating the vacuum system. The working medium suitable for the vacuum solenoid valve is air and non-corrosive gas.
1. For vacuum solenoid valves, since the pressure is vacuum and it cannot be started under pressure, pilot-operated solenoid valves cannot be used and only direct-acting solenoid valves can be used; while for ordinary positive pressure solenoid valves, in the case of pressure difference, pilot-operated solenoid valves are generally selected.
2. Vacuum solenoid valves have high requirements for leakage, so attention should be paid to the sealing method. Gap sealing cannot be used.
3. Pay attention to the air flow sequence. In vacuum, the flow is reversed.
4. Vacuum solenoid valves are generally made of stainless steel, while ordinary positive pressure solenoid valves have several options: cast iron, cast steel, and stainless steel.
