The magnetic isolation sheet is a magnetic sheet-shaped auxiliary material at both ends of the wireless charger coil. It is a magnetic material formed by sintering at a constant high temperature. Common coil magnetic isolation sheets are divided into the receiving end (commonly a soft magnetic sheet, with a very thin thickness) and the transmitting and receiving end (commonly a hard magnetic sheet, with a hard and fragile material and a thickness generally ranging from about 0.1 to 0.8 mm).
The wireless charging coil is an electronic component that charges using the principle of electromagnetic wave induction. The inductance coil at the transmitting end is connected to a wired power source to generate electromagnetic signals, and the inductance coil at the receiving end senses the electromagnetic signals from the transmitting end and converts them into current to charge the battery.
The main functions of the magnetic isolation sheet are as follows:
First, it increases the magnetic flux of the coil.
In places where the magnetic induction intensity is greater in the magnetic field, there are more magnetic field lines. The magnetic isolation sheet has a high magnetic convergence effect. By converging the magnetic field lines in the magnetic field, the magnetic induction intensity becomes greater, and the magnetic flux becomes larger. This enables the magnetic field energy of the transmitting coil to act on the receiving coil to the greatest extent, improving the electromagnetic conversion efficiency.
Second, it isolates the contact between metal objects and electromagnetic signals.
In the magnetic field, electromagnetic signals are easily absorbed and attenuated by metals, resulting in energy waste and a reduction in electromagnetic conversion efficiency. Attaching a magnetic isolation sheet can effectively isolate the contact between metal objects and electromagnetic signals, reducing the attenuation of electromagnetic signals, and ultimately playing the role of blocking the magnetic field.
Third, it increases the heat dissipation area.
The greater the magnetic induction intensity in the magnetic field, the more heat the charging coil will generate. If this heat is not effectively dissipated in the circuit, it will accumulate in a certain space and may cause damage to electronic devices. The heat generation we feel during wireless charging comes from this. Combining the coil, the magnetic sheet, and the circuit board completely can increase the contact area of the inductance coil, effectively disperse the heat and transfer it out, reducing the heat generation per unit area.
