How to integrate the mutual application of hydraulic control check valves and throttle valves
Hydraulic control check valves are widely used in hydraulic circuits. However, when applying this valve, the characteristics of the valve should be fully considered; otherwise, the circuit will be unstable, especially in high-pressure systems. Before the hydraulic control check valve opens in the reverse direction, the pressure at port P2 is very high. In order to reduce the control pressure, hydraulic shock, and noise in the hydraulic system, a hydraulic control check valve with an unloading spool is adopted. The unloading valve can improve the performance of the hydraulic control check valve. The characteristic of this hydraulic control check valve is that when there is no pressure oil at port K of the hydraulic control check valve, the pressure oil can only flow from port P1 to port P2 and cannot flow in the reverse direction. When there is control pressure oil at control port K, the oil pushes the push rod due to the control piston, and the push rod opens the unloading spool. At the same time, the main spool opens, connecting ports P1 and P2, and the oil can flow freely in both directions. The unloading valve reduces hydraulic shock and makes the performance of the hydraulic control check valve more stable, but there is still shock or noise in large-flow and high-pressure systems.
Hydraulic control check valves are often used in pressure-holding, pressure-relieving, and locking circuits. During the pressure-holding process in the system, due to high pressure, oil compression, pipeline expansion, and elastic deformation of components, energy can be stored. During pressure relief, the energy is suddenly released. And when the directional control valve changes from the neutral position to the left position, due to the high pressure in the upper chamber of the hydraulic cylinder, the pressure in the lower chamber has increased at this time. The unloading valve and the main valve open almost simultaneously, causing the pressure oil in the upper chamber to be suddenly released to the return circuit through the hydraulic control check valve. Due to the coexistence of these two reasons, the pressure relief after pressure holding is too fast, resulting in shock, vibration, and noise. Therefore, we have improved this type of hydraulic circuit.
Due to the high-pressure and large-flow hydraulic control check valve, the pressure relief is too fast, increasing the shock. Therefore, a throttle valve is added to this circuit so that the unloading valve of the hydraulic control check valve opens first, and then the main valve opens. Because the throttle valve has a sufficient flow control range, it can ensure a stable minimum flow, is convenient to adjust, has small leakage, and has little influence from temperature and pressure. Therefore, by adjusting the throttle valve, the pressure relief time of the oil in the upper chamber of the hydraulic cylinder is also extended accordingly, and the pressure-holding capacity will also be enhanced, reducing the shock and noise of the hydraulic oil on each component. Similar improvements have been made to the circuits with high-pressure and large-flow hydraulic control check valves, and the results can all meet the requirements without affecting the speed of the control piston.
