An important thing to repeat: Pressure is generated due to the resistance of fluid flow. So what hinders the flow? First of all, too small hoses or pipes can impede the flow. In a circuit where the fluid medium is flowing, the pressure value indicated by the pressure gauge is only the result of resistance downstream. The pressure gauge shows only the back pressure, which means that the part with the highest pressure in the hydraulic system exists at the outlet of the pump.
The working principle of the restrictive orifice plate is that when the fluid passes through the orifice plate, a pressure drop will occur, and the flow through the orifice plate will increase as the pressure drop increases. However, when the pressure drop exceeds a certain value, that is, exceeds the critical pressure drop, no matter how the outlet pressure decreases, the flow will maintain a certain value and no longer increase. The restrictive orifice plate is used to limit the flow of the fluid or reduce the pressure of the fluid based on this principle.
The restrictive orifice plates are divided into single orifice plates and multi-orifice plates according to the number of openings on the orifice plate; and they can be divided into single-stage and multi-stage according to the number of orifice plates.
